To keep with the mission of broadening youth horizons by means of the Arts, DASH’s Multimedia Department gives youth another tool in their artistic toolbox.. Through this art form, youth are encouraged to look not only at art, but also their community through a different lens. DASH’s Multimedia instructors take youth throughout the Puget Sound, filming and photographing, expanding their students’ perspectives while simultaneously enhancing “civic capital.” Students become more connected to their community through the digital media process. As a result they see themselves in new and more positive ways.
